NewSong Contest Regional Finalist

I am excited to announce that I am a regional finalist in the NewSong Contest.

"Now in its 13th year, the NewSong Contest is one of the premier showcases of emerging performers and songwriters in North America.

Twelve finalists will be selected to perform and compete in the live performance showcase and competition at New York’s Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, November 15, 2014. There, one grand prize winner will be awarded an EP produced and mixed by Pat Sansone (Wilco, The Autumn Defense) and recorded at Echo Mountain Recording Studios in Asheville, NC."

Overture's Rising Stars

I am very excited to announce that I have been selected to perform in the Overture's Rising Starts showcase.

"Overture’s new local talent search held auditions throughout the spring and summer at six sites across Dane County. The best and brightest will take the Capitol Theater stage in a major showcase as part of Overture’s 10th Anniversary Celebration. Don’t miss these up-and-comers, the stars you never knew were right next door!"

Mile of Music

This weekend marks the second annual Mile of Music festival in Appleton, WI. I am very excited to be playing several shows on Saturday and Sunday. As the poster says, 200+ artists, 50+ venues, and 1 great Mile of Music. A lot of my friends are playing as well. Check out MileOfMusic.com for a complete schedule. Shitty Barn Show

The Shitty Barn show is just three weeks away, and tickets are going fast. The Shitty Barn is my favorite place to play or see a show. If you have never been to a barn show, you cannot miss out on this opportunity.

Featured in Sony Creative Software's Vegas Pro 13

Last summer the band and I gathered at Blasthouse Studios in Madison to record a live-in-studio version of a new song called "Give Up the Ghost." There were a lot of musicians and cameras in that room, and here is what we came up with. The raw video is used for demo purposes in Vegas Pro 13, Sony Creative Software's professional video editing suite. Check it out at www.sonycreativesoftware.com/vegaspro. I have heard that made face is on the packaging as well!
